The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 begins with a crucial match between India and Bangladesh in the UAE. Both teams aim for a strong start, making this an intense contest.
India’s Game Plan
Strength and Strategy
India has a strong history in the Champions Trophy, winning in 2002 (shared) and 2013. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team is determined to secure another title.
However, Jasprit Bumrah’s absence affects the bowling attack. To compensate, India relies on spin options like Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy to control the game.
Bangladesh’s Challenge
Fighting Spirit
Bangladesh has built a reputation for surprising top teams. Their 2007 World Cup win over India remains a key moment in their cricket history.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto leads a squad combining experience and young talent. Their spin attack, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, will be crucial in restricting India’s batting lineup.
