India Reveals New Jersey for Champions Trophy 2025 with Pakistan Imprint

India’s cricket team kicked off their Champions Trophy 2025 preparations on February 17 at the ICC Media Day in Dubai. The players posed for photos while sporting their new jerseys for the upcoming tournament. The event was held at the ICC studio, where several stars, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Ravindra Jadeja, took center stage in front of the camera.

New Jersey Design: Pakistan’s Name on India’s Kit

The new jersey sparked attention, particularly the right side of the kit, where the Champions Trophy logo and the name of the host nation, Pakistan, were displayed. This design element led to discussions after some had called for India’s jersey to exclude Pakistan’s name. However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that India would follow ICC rules and keep Pakistan’s name on the kit.

ICC Awards and Team of the Year Recognition

In addition to unveiling the new jersey, Indian players received accolades for their performances over the past year. Rohit Sharma was named in the ODI Team of the Year, while Ravindra Jadeja earned a spot in the Test Team of the Year. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh were included in the T20I Team of the Year, with Arshdeep also winning the prestigious T20I Cricketer of the Year award.

India’s Upcoming Champions Trophy Matches

India is set to begin their Champions Trophy 2025 journey with a match against Bangladesh on February 20. Their next challenge will be against Pakistan on February 23, a match that promises to be a thrilling contest between the two rivals.
